Deputy Chris Blanding is a sergeant with the Richland County Sheriff’s Department in South Carolina. Chris Blanding’s father was also in law enforcement. He wanted to follow in his father’s footsteps, and help guide others on the right track.
Sergeant Blanding first appeared with Live PD in Season 3, and then later he was featured with On Patrol: Live.
One of the wilder scenes from Live PD Season 3, involved a long pursuit in Richmond County for the car with “smoking brakes”. The car ultimately was able to elude Master Deputy Blanding, but as reported by local media, they eventually caught the driver.
