Deputy Wilson Bishop is an officer with the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office in South Carolina.
Deputy Bishop was born and raised in Berkeley County, South Carolina, before moving to Anderson, South Carolina, in 2006. He graduated from Westside High School in 2008 and earned an Associate’s Degree in Criminal Justice from Tri-County Technical College.
Deputy Bishop began his law enforcement career in 2013 with the Anderson Police Department, where he worked as a patrol officer before being assigned to the K-9 Unit. In 2016, he relocated back to his hometown and began working at the North Charleston Police Department, where he was assigned to the K-9 Unit until the retirement of his K-9 in 2022.
Deputy Bishop joined the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office in October of 2022 and is assigned to the patrol division. When he’s not working, Deputy Bishop can be found outside on his big green tractor or at the beach surfing. Bishop enjoys playing hockey and, in the past, helped coach youth hockey with Charleston’s Cops Athletic Program. He also enjoys spending time with his family and friends.
