Senior Deputy Daniel Mulcahy is an officer with the Richland County Sheriff’s Department. Mulcahy works as part of the Community Action Team with Lt. Danny Brown and Deputy Addy Perez.
Mulcahy is a native of Edison, New Jersey, and moved to Columbia, South Carolina in 1996. He studied business management at Midlands Technical College after high school. After college, he worked as an assistant manager in the hotel industry. But after doing ride alongs with the Irmo Police Department, he felt that he really wanted to work in law enforcement. Deputy Mulcahy joined Richland County in 2014.
