Deputy Cliff Labbe is a sergeant with the Indian River County Sheriff’s Office in Florida.
A veteran of law enforcement, Clifford Labbe has dedicated much of his career to education. However, the nature of his teachings has evolved in response to a tragic reality: the increasing frequency of mass shootings.
Labbe, who served as on-scene commander during the aftermath of the Sandy Hook Elementary School massacre, witnessed firsthand the devastating impact of such violence. He explains, “The way we respond to active shooters has dramatically changed since Columbine. We’ve learned that immediate action is crucial.”
After retiring from the Connecticut State Police, Labbe shared his expertise internationally, training police forces in Abu Dhabi and Dubai. His philosophy is simple: “Effective leadership involves training the next generation. By sharing our experiences, we equip them to excel in their careers.”
Returning to the United States, Labbe now focuses on community safety, teaching firearms safety and crisis management. His goal remains clear: to empower individuals with the knowledge to protect themselves in the face of unthinkable danger.
Seargent Labbe first appeared with On Patrol: Live during Season 3 in episode 07.27.24.
