Sheriff Brad Cole serves as the elected Sheriff of Christian County, Missouri, a position he has held since 2015. Cole first won election in a special election held on August 4, 2015, in one of the closest races in county history, winning by just three votes after a recount. He has since won three sheriff’s elections total and continues to serve the county.
A law enforcement veteran with nearly 30 years of experience, Sheriff Cole leads an agency serving one of Missouri’s fastest-growing counties, with a population exceeding 73,000 residents. Under his leadership, the Christian County Sheriff’s Office responded to 23,000 calls for service in 2023, averaging 63 dispatches per day.
Sheriff Cole received national recognition in 2018 when the National Sheriff’s Association awarded him for his efforts to make Christian County’s highways safer for travelers. He has also served as the Immediate Past President of the Missouri Sheriffs’ Association. As the only elected law enforcement official in Christian County, Cole has focused on building strong community relations and maintaining a visible presence to reduce criminal activity and increase public safety.
Sheriff Cole first appeared with On Patrol: Live during Season 4 in episode 10.04.25.
